Stasiland
I could not put this book down. Having lived in Germany..Hamburg(2 years) & West Berlin(13 years) When reading this, it transported me back, as though it was yesterday. I felt as though I were the author. It is spot on... although maybe people who have not experienced the GDR could think it far fetched. The descriptions of toilets, buildings ,problems are so very very true. I loved it. by E. Mortimer
