  • A hilarious modern tale of self-transformation4

Richard Brandt Strauss' work recounts his life's events as a pick-up artist under his alias "Style."

This modern (supposedly true) tale is an inspiring, often hilarious, account of one man's determination to moult his introverted shell and step into the limelight and excitement of the modern club scene in order to meet and connect with women.

In this book Strauss recalls his experiences being involved with an underground society of pick-up artists over a two year period. Strauss describes his experiences in taking and eventually delivering pick-up workshops, the many men he met worldwide through the community and the relationships he forged with these people and, of course, just some of his experiences with the various women he successfully picked up using the tricks of the game as forged by the community and even himself.

The self-help-ness of this book is disguised in the narrative about Strauss' exploits as a pick-up artist. Make no mistake, it is a novel, with a story serving as metaphor which can be applied to any reader (male or female).

If you're an "average frustrated chump," as defined by the book, then this is worthy reading to see how you too can improve your success rate with relationships, life and picking up. Or if you're simply after an inspirational story about a modern guy who changed his whole life for the better, made many new friends and forged a whole new lifestyle for himself, then this is unmissable reading. by Richard Brandt
