An insight into the Muslum culture
This book was a great education re the differences in the way of thinking about roles of women in society in Islamic Countries versus Western Society. Even weeks afterwards I can not stop recalling this fascinating book. It emphasizes that the Islam religion is not growing with the changes happening in the world today. This book is one of the best books I have read for many years. I highly recommend it to someone who is perhaps "sitting on the fence" as to how they feel about other societies. It will teach you much that you will never learn by reading the papers or watching TV. by Yvonne Bendall

Powerful
Ayaan's book is a powerful story of personal reflection on life and religion. She describes very clearly her struggle between (family/cultural) tradition and personal opinions and feelings. by Karen
