I would give it 10 stars
This is the perfect book for the right reader. If you:
-have any interest in understanding Chinese medicine's foundations
-want to study ancient Chinese
-want to understand Chinese characters better
-are a Chinese medicine doctor
-have tried to learn Classical Chinese before, but failed
then get this book!
I have studied many books on Classical Chinese. This one has far better grammar explanations than all the others combined (some don't even try!). If you have already studied Classical Chinese, then this book will give you broader knowledge (medicine) and help you to understand grammar. If you have never studied Classical Chinese, the book does a pretty good job of starting at ground zero. If you are willing to work hard, this book will really help you learn to read Classical texts. by Jonathan Bonne
