A worthy addition to my Nigella collection
Having made over 50 recipes from this book in a short space of time, and still itching to try more, I can say with utter certainty this book is a winner. Genuine family-friendly meals for the most part, and realistic too, I've found everything turning out just as wonderfully as expected.
I love that I can 'hear' Nigella explaining details of a recipe with all the wonderful humour and charm that make me feel as if it's my dearest friend in the kitchen with me.
The Grasshopper Pie has been a huge hit, the 'Roast Chook' is simple and comforting, the Chocolate Chip Cookies are so good, I always do a double batch to stash some in the freezer, and Greek Lamb Chops is easily great value in terms of (no) effort for those time poor days, for such (delicious) results. The tips for freezing, make-ahead and dealing with leftovers are invaluable. This is, for me, the cookbook I never knew I always needed. by Coby G -
Nigella does it again!
I've had this book for a couple of weeks now and half a dozen recipes made and the book read cover to cover several times, I can say I LOVE IT! The crustless pizza alone is amazing and new turkey recipes are a hit here. As always, Nigella is unapologetically real with meals the family really want to eat and you want to cook. Another worthwhile cook book to inspire and read! by Naomi & Steve Ager
