Reviews for The Structure of Singing
An exceptional publication
I've been looking for a book like this for a while. A very useful guide to the understanding and use of vocal technique but be warned, not an easy book to understand if you are unfamiliar or off put by a large amount of medical terminology and descriptions. I found the first 10 pages hard, but once I got into it I found myself engrossed in its relevant and useful diagrams, explanations, concepts and advise, as well as some very simple and straight forward vocal exercises I plan to use with my students. Many do not see the point in knowing the medical side of how the voice functions (myself included), but my attitude is changing, knowledge is the key.
If you are someone who needs to know not just what is the correct thing to do but also why it is correct, this is the book for you...... by Laura
