This is Jodi Picoult at her best!!
This book really makes you think "what would you do". If you are looking to curl up with a good book then this is the one, I found I could hardly put it down.
This story covers the issue of genetically engineered children who are born to save their siblings lives.
We learn to love the character's and find that we really sympathising with the situation they find themselves in.
The Fitzgeralds have the perfect family, but life changes when Kate is diagnosed with leukemia. On the advice of the doctors, her parents decide to try for the "perfectly engineered baby."
Anna has never questioned her role in life, but after the countless surgeries, Anna is now required to give a kidney. Anna feels she can't go through with the kidney donation, so she sues her parents for the right to make her own medical decisions.
I would suggest keeping water close (to replenish the tears you will cry) and some tissues ready. I'm sure you will revisit this book countless times. You get lost in the world that Jodi has created for you. by Toni Wind
