Reviews for One Day
Don't Believe the Cover page!
Just an ok read-I did read it to the end. Good concept in that we see what the main characters are up to on the same day in successive years. I would have rather purchased another book, though. Certainly not one to keep me enthralled for hours....maybe a good thing so I can do other jobs?? I looked forward to finishing it so I could start another! by Wendy SEKULOFF
Entertaining & Easy
I thoroughly enjoyed 'One Day', entertaining and easy to read - I would recommend this to anyone after a good holiday read. For the Antipodean its fun to read about the different locations across London and the UK and get an insight into how things were in the 80's and 90's. by Angus Fay
save your money
average storyline, poorly written characters, didnt drag me into the story at all... fairly disappointed. by Kate Mc Mahon
One of the best books I've read.
I absolutely loved this book. From beginning to end. I also saw the film but it was terrible and didn't translate the book well. It's sad, funny and overall uplifting. I don't think I've enjoyed any book more than I did this one. Although we only get a chapter a year it may seem to fast paced, but I honestly didn't feel that way. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who is considering it. by Alex Hellyer
Awesome novel!
I honestly KNEW these people as I became completely caught up in their lives.
What a clever way to record the events in the lives of these great characters, one particular day (date) of each year. Great authorship in the way my emotions swayed from one character to the other as events unfolded. I laughed out loud, scoffed, cursed and cried! So sad that it had to end! by Beverley Coleman_
I really enjoyed this book. It did admittedly take pages and pages of endless dribble to FINALLY get into it, but once you did it is really quite an enchanting love story. I say read it - BUT WITH SOME PATIENCE. by Laura
Time waster
The reviews were good, it came recommened and then it filled you with disapointment. How is this a best seller? by Yvonne Clake
Ugggghhhh !
Absolutely awful drivel. I got sucked into buying this tripe and after less than fifty pages realised I'd done my money. It's crap. by Mark Warner
A big noooo
What a waste of my time. Ok it's an original-ish way to describe a relationship between two people which if it was otherwise told would be boring but still I don't get why this is a bestseller. by Anthi Ermogenidou
Beautiful book
I would class this book as one of the best books that I have read. It is beautifully written and had me hooked from the first page and both laughing and crying the whole way through. I have recommended it to several people and they too are finding it to be a brilliant book. by Anastasia Neocleous
