Not well written or edited
I am a neuroscience PhD student. I bought this book expecting it to be a fascinating overview of current glial cell biology. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this book, neither to lay-people, nor to scientists. It is not well written, has apparently not been seen by an editor, and is not particularly informative. The author has an obvious passion for his field, and I share his belief that more glial research is needed, but he writes whimsically, without explaining the subject adequately to either novices or experts. There are some good sections on the history of the field and some entertaining biographies, but little understandable science. by Nemateleotris
