Dictionaries on the go (via the Bookseller):

OUP has made 11 of its reference dictionaries available for the first time on the iPhone and iTouch Apps priced £8.99 each.

The dictionaries have been made available through White Park Bay Software. They are searchable and have unlimited bookmarking. Previously viewed definitions can be logged and revisited later, like the History function on aninternet browser.

The user can also email definitions to friends, colleagues, or yourself as a reminder. Other features include a new vertical 'frame in frame' view, which allows the user to access the index and the definition entry at the same time.

White Park Bay Software managing director Steve Tagger, said: "We have created an invaluable resource for anyone requiring specialist knowledge at a moments notice, from doctors and nurses, to lawyers and accountants."
