The group CAN be smarter than the individual4

Wendy It goes against what many of us instinctively believe, but the decision of a diverse crowd (which is not informed of the decisions of other members) will be far more intelligent than an individual subject expert.

This is not about experts vs. Citizen X, because experts are part of the crowd too. This book is about learning when and how the wisdom of the crowds and occur - and offers a few suggestions for how we could improve the way business decisions based on this understanding.

It isn't solely dedicated to business, but as the author says, businesses are a very good environment in which to demonstrate the principles of the wisdom of crowds, and also one place where a little extra wisdom certainly wouldn't go astray.

Worth a read if you are interested in decision-making, psychology, economics or business strategy. by Wendy
