A UK Freakonomics?
Well-written introduction to the common problems with statistics and their reportage in the media.
While it is in the same vein as 'Freakonomics', it is less bombastic and focusses more on the validity of the numbers and statistics we see in the newspapers supporting often unfounded claims, and how they can sometimes (even unwittingly) go wrong.

I like this book, because i like math and this book explains (in simple manner) how the statistics work and how they are manipulated by everyone who is interested in gaining something. by Konstantins Golevs
