Reviews for The Sunne in Splendour
I love Richard III!
This was my first introduction to the genius historical novel writer Sharon Penman. It's based on written fact of the time and paints a very different picture of Richard III than we usually read. In this book, he's not a hunchback, nor is he the evil murdering King of Shakespeare's play. This Richard is loyal and loving and devoted to his wife and family. It also gives fascinating insight into how these people lived all that time ago. I can't recommend this book enough. by Esther Robinson
