Reviews for Stray Sock Sewing
fabulous photography
This is a brilliant book, I had read a number of reviews on difference sites and they persuaded me to buy it.
The use of creative photography really brings the book to life and each character has their own personality portrayed in fabulous photos.
The first section of the book is full of different characters shot 'on location' to give you inspiration for your own projects. The middle section is 'the basics of making sock dolls' and gives you loads of tips to create your own sock creature. The back section gives you step by step sewing instructions for a 8 projects but you can use the inspiration and middle section to adapt the patterns to anything you want and the possibilities are endless.
I love this book and the cute faces each character has. Daniel has so many ideas and you can tell he enjoys making them.
I don't often bother writing reviews as most books are 'middle of the road' but this one stands out from the crowd - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED FOR ALL SEWING ABILITIES 5* by Sarah Tristram
