    Martine Halliwell We have had a lot of problems with our son's toilet training particularly with the poo part. We found this book to be incredibly helpful in explaining to our son that it is natural to do this. The illustrations were excellent and the pop-up action made it interactive and fun for all of us during a very sensitive time. A great laugh for all the family about something that is a little taboo but perfectly natural. by Martine Halliwell

    Great book if you're happy to talk about poo!5

    Mrs H Scholes If you don't know, this book is about a mole who pops out of his hole one morning to find that someone (some animal) has done "their business" on his head. He then sets out to find out who did the deed, by asking all sorts of animals if the poo on his head is theirs, before taking his revenge once he identifies the culprit.

    We bought this book as a present for my nephew after reading rave reviews of it. Sadly, my brother and his wife thought it was disgusting as it talks about all the different types of poo that animals do (round ones, soft ones, big ones etc). This may sound a bit gross to an adult, but it's a great topic to discuss with kids especially when they are potty-training and/or when they're going through a toilet-humour phase. As my brother returned the present, we kept it until our eldest was old enough to appreciate it and she loves naming all the animals and pointing out the differences in their poo!

    The book is well-written, beautifully illustrated and is a great book to read aloud with children from the age of 18 months up. We all love the book and would heartily recommend it as long as you're not squeamish about talking about bodily functions ;-) by Mrs H Scholes
