    Sharon Kinnaird I saw this book and got very excited based on the cover photo. Who doesn't love a little whimsy, and the hearts on the cover were SO cute.

    What I didnt realise was that pretty much every single project in this book involved cross stitch. The title is slightly misleading in that while you have to sew everything in the book at some point, the projects involve cross stitch as an embellishment to make them look pretty.

    Most of the projects were simple enough, but a bit disappointing in that there was nothing innovative or particularly creative in making a Christmas stocking or reindeer cross stitch gift bags. Some of other projects included a laundry type bag for dog toys , a decorative sleeve for a recipe book, and an apron (all with cross stitch because they wouldnt be anything without the cross stitch embellishment)

    It's not a book I'd refer to again and again. A bit of a disappointment - there are better books out there if you're looking for cutesy sewing projects. by Sharon Kinnaird
