Full description for Serge Lutens
One of the world's most famous stylists and photographers, and perfume creator par excellence, Serge Lutens was the creative genius behind the comestics of Christian Dior. Born in Lille, he moved to Paris, where he was hired by Vogue to create make up and hair styles. This is how he came to meet leading photographers like Richard Avedon and Irving Penn. In 1967, Christian Dior commissioned Lutens to create a new line of cosmetics, which Vogue America was to describe as revolutionary.
