Reviews for The Scar
Great book, terrible copy
As there are plenty of great reviews for this book elsewhere (including on Amazon) I won't rehash too much except to say that this book is phenomenal. It shares the darkness and epic scale of Perdido Street Station, and although it has less of a horror element (something I loved in that novel) the character development is richer and more interesting.
HOWEVER, this cheap edition of the novel by Del Rey is awful. The pages began to unglue and fall apart when I was a third of the way through and I had to resort to sticky tape to keep from dropping pages wherever I went. If you can afford it I would skip this nasty edition and spend a little extra for a Pan copy that will actually stay together and survive future reads. by Kasia Kaczmarekunder review
