  • Fall in love all over again!4

    R.D-Diaz Since I tried Jill Mansell's book Fast Friends (I love it!), I got hooked and now have mostly read her books. When I saw this new book of her automatically bought it and finished it in 3 days. I just couldn't put it down.

    Story of Tilly, who gets dumped by her boyfriend in London who did a runner on her while she was at work. In spite of getting dumped (which she prefers instead of her doing it to the guy) she doesn't regret it for she felt that the relationship was going nowhere. She then decide to visit her friend Erin in a small town of Roxborough for the week end but in a twisted fate ended up quitting her job in London to work an live in the said small town. Working as a girl Friday for Max (an interior decorator) and her daughter Lou has its perks like meeting Jack Lucas, a good friend of Max's.

    Jack has a reputation of being a philanderer after her fiancée died in a tragic accident several years previously. Tilly knows for self preservation she needs to stay away from him even though her body and heart feels otherwise.

    Like in her other books, sub-plot characters never failed to make me laugh! In here we have Erin's best friend who owns a clothes shop who in turn fell in love with her customer's ex-husband. Max's Hollywood ex-wife comes back home after a backlash from a recent Hollywood scandal who then was able to find love right in the middle of losing her career and the whole of America hating her.
