Short Description for Poltergeeks 15-year-old Julie Richardson is about to learn that being the daughter of a witch isn't all it's cracked up to be. When she and her best friend, Marcus, witness an elderly lady jettisoned out the front door of her home, it's pretty obvious to Julie there's a supernatural connection.

Reviews for Poltergeeks
Story Moves Quickly with lots of Action
The story moves along very quickly and features a ton of action in it. While it does center around a female character, I think boys will enjoy this read as well. I liked the quick pace and the magic that Julie possesses. The problems I had with it were how annoying Julie was in the beginning of the book. Maybe it's because she's a teenager (aren't we/weren't we all annoying as teens?), but she rubbed me the wrong way in how she treated other people and in the way she spoke/thought of herself. Towards the end it was more under control and I didn't mind the way she was - but she got stronger and realized some things about herself along the way.
The mystery in the story wasn't all that mysterious, but it wasn't glaringly obvious about it either. I just wanted more substance to that area. Julie's best friend Marcus is wonderful to read about. He's smart and geeky and always there for Julie. Now that Julie's more grown up than when we started the story - I'd love to read more about her finding her magical way!
