Reviews for One Grave at a Time
Great read
Yet another wonderful installment to the Night Huntress series. Though, I'm starting to feel the detachment to the series like other fans. The fact that this installment wasn't as good as the last few installments, probably triggered it. The story was kind of dragging for me a little.
But Frost made up for it with a few entertaining new characters. My favorite would be Tyler and his snarky comments about the hot vampire trio (Ian, Spade and Bones). He is so gay and I love it. He made me laugh so hard! Almost as much as Ian used to, scratch that! Ian still makes me laugh. You wait until you get to the end of the book. :D
After seeing Ian again in this one, I felt bad for him because hes all alone. When is Frost going to write about his story? Aside from putting him in a novella. :( Poor thing needs some major love.
All in all, this 6th book wasn't as good as the first 5 and was missing something, but it still held its own manageable qualities. And to tell you the truth, I can't get enough of Cat and Bones' story. :D I can't wait for Vlad's in Once Burned. by Najla Qamber- Top review
More of what we love...but missing something?
Yes I loved this book. Yes, I am a huge Cat/Bones fan, and yes, I will read it again I'm sure. The idea was very good. An undead freak who has a beef with women and abuses them. Scary as hell! A lot of it was actually quite "scary" if you were to put yourself in the positions of some of the characters. I love that about these books. Cat keeps you grounded to reality with her jokes and sarcasm and then the writing lets you experience everything else -from the safety of the other side of the page haha!
LOVED that Hellsing is in this book a bit more. Cute little kitty!
I will say this for it. What its missing is more of the hot stuff! Not nearly enough of that heat between our lovely Cat and (MY) Bones! ;)
This book is obviously not something to be passed up if you're a fan of the books. I just thought it deviated a bit from the other books in style of progression.
The fact that our antagonist is a non-corproeal ghost makes it hard to set up those "awesome fight scenes" that give these books that blood-pumping (pardon the vamp pun) adrenalin rush.
READ it though.
I love the cover of this new book. The model is much more suited to Cat I think by Genevieve Duval
