JPC den Dulk The book is great. It's challenging while the instructions are helping me to maintain a can do spirit. The book is supported by a website forum which is delivering a lot of value to this absolute beginner.

It would really be a great (rated 5 stars) book if the publisher had taken the job of editorial bug fixing a bit more serious. Therefore a note of warning: I find it a a bit disappointing the author didn't follow his own rule of double or even triple checking his text. (The book told me that coders will be spending a lot of time on bug-fixing, the book itself proved inconsistent to this rule) Its very disappointing to have to find out several times by trial and error why my coding is not delivering expected results or no results at all, since numerous printed sample codes in the exercises contain typo's. An omitted comma or a few missing letters obviously make a world of difference in running software. I trust this will be corrected in a next edition. Luckily the website proves to be a workaround for most of my troubles.

Consider to wait for the next edition or when you decide to buy it, ask for a free (electronic) copy once the second - fully corrected - edition makes it to print.

Furthermore its a book full of inspiration for a beginning app developer. by JPC den Dulk
