Reviews for Not Even Wrong
The role of human being in Theoretical Physics
This book is an interesting account of the development of the Standard model, that is the framework of particle physics. Basically its purpose is to highlight how in the past experimental discoveries drove theoreticians in the right direction and how stubborn seem today physicists to pursue String theory that is claimed to be a collection of mathematical methods and assumptions rather than a falsifiable theory.
Convincing and interesting, it expresses how human beings are easily convinced by the leader of their community and how a new theology can be built in 35 years. I am not a specialist of the field, but I think rational discussion should be the base of any scientific investigation, so criticism is welcome. by Andrea Armaroli
