Reviews for Master Lighting Guide for Portrait Photographers
Good book - Recommended read for photographer
It is a good book. It starts with lighting basic, on different types of light modifier, how they are different. Chris even put up a whole page of images, showing under different light modifier, how the person can look like. He progresses towards some basic light setup, and eventually moves into different advanced light scenarios. This is very good, becuase despite your levels, you definitely can find certain contents meeting your learning needs. The only minor downside is Chris may mainly shoots on film, so he writes in film photography context. However, this does not deter me too much from giving this book a good rating, becuase depsite what media you shoot, what camera you use, what most important is the principle and knowledge you gain out from a book. by Thean Yiong Sim
