Reviews for Magento Beginner's Guide

  • Great if your new to Magento or to e-commerce5

John Horton What I found as I meandered through the pages of Magento: Beginners guide was that I began to envision all of the nice Magento features and how they would make my products look. I began to forget the alleged Magento complexity although with each new chapter I kept thinking there would be something complicated. But real complexity never came, not once. New stuff, yes, things that force you to think about how to present your products better, yes. But not complexity. Initially apparently strange order of topics made complete sense and I could see how Magento would work for me.

This is not just a good book it is a Magento eye opener. If somebody is new to e-commerce and they get a book that makes things hard it could be a lifetimes sentence to the mistaken belief that an online business is only for the technically endowed. It really isn't true. Anyone prepared to do the work can have their own online store and now thanks to this book they can have an online store with the powerful features of Magento.

There are challenges ahead, even with this book, but I heartily recommend it to any new to e-commerce as well as to anyone who has never used Magento before. Especially if you never used Magento because you thought it might be complicated.
