    Gripping till the end4

Christina Lover Enshrined is a very busy book as their are so many stories intertwined within the main plot of Phury and Cormia. Even though I was not completely engaged into the story at first, all the twist and turns made up for it. There were quite a few surprises that kept me on my toes... making me read page after page to hunt down a resolution. A technique that I now know J.R. Ward uses extremely well :)

When reading I found Phury so frustrating at times, he would simply think one thing, but then would do the complete opposite. But having said that it still made me want to read more, as I wanted to find out if that was truly him or the 'wizard' in his head. As for Cormia I didn't really like her at the beginning, she was a little bit too proper and therefore annoying for me. But thankfully she changed after exploring her new world on the other side with John Matthew and Phury. I love the relationship between Cormia and Phury, it was truly a work in progress from the beginning to the end, as it slowly developed throughout the book even though their was the first instant attraction between them both. I really do hope I get to read more about Phury in the following books, as I think it would be unfair to just brush him aside to the background when his story to me wasn't as complete as the other brothers.

The book also explores the development of John Matthew and his mates Qhuinn and Blay into the vampire society. The boys learn about themselves along the way from sexual needs and attraction to the inclusion into fighting against the Lessening society.

Overall I shall give Lover Enshrined 4.5 stars. I love all the plots from Phury & Cormia, John Matthew, Qhuinn & Blay, the other BDB's & the beginning strength of the Lessening society. by Christina
