This is my all-time FAVOURITE picturebook, I love to read it to my kids and they love to hear it everytime. The pictures are a colourful feast filled with humour and warmth - who can resist the little mouse and his facial expressions? My 3 year old not only joins in with the (few) words, but with the facial expressions too. Those facial expressions practically TELL the story. My favourite scene is when the mouse tries to disguise the strawberry (in an attempt to hide it from the bear). by Esther Allen
