A must-read
This is a must-read for anyone interested in India or Indian history during the time of British rule. I have not read a book on the mutiny that could surpass this work. William Dalrymple recounts the events leading up to during, as well as the aftermath of the 1857 mutiny in such incredible, vivid detail, you could almost be there. I was so captivated that I had to visit Red Fort in Delhi. by Michael Hoskison
