  • No actual written copies of the practice tests; CD only works in a computer1

Michele Garcia Well, in a way, it's probably my fault because the title clearly states "with CD-ROM." However, it also says in the book that the CD can be played either on a computer or on a standard CD player, which isn't true. There are actually three CD-ROMs with this book: one with the four practice tests, and two with practice tracks (such as for listening). The CD with the practice tests can only be played on a computer and, worse, there are no actual written copies of the practice tests anywhere in the book, so you're forced to work on a computer, and forced to go from one question to the next, with no way to skip from question to question. Yes, this is the way the actual test is, but it's not always convenient to practice a test this way. The practice CDs, which supposedly work in a CD player, did not. This is fine if you have a computer but maybe you want to listen to the tracks somewhere else. Okay, fine, yes, you can make copies if you have a computer and put them onto an MP3 player or something, but if you don't have a computer, these will be useless. Also, I was hoping to use this book with one of my exam classes but it won't work at all since it's really only designed to be used for self-study. by Michele Garcia
