Well, what can I say. This book is the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers. Honestly I was up until dawn trying to finish the book, it saddens me that the next installment wouldn't be out soon. I loved how the story was more character based, it made us understand why the characters act like they do (Will and Jem). Plus with the classic love triangle that kept everyone on their toes. I feel really bad for Tessa, I mean they're both pretty amazing guys. I recommend to read, no wait, buy the book, I mean, BUY THE SERIES (including Mortal Instuments) by Jasmine
Addictive and insightful
OMG!!! I finished The Clockwork Prince two days ago, and I haven't been able to think about anything else apart from the world of Shadowhunters.
I sat down the other day and I kept reading from my last place at page 150 and didn't stop until I finished the book.
If you are a reader of The Mortal Instruments series, it is nearly impossible to go without reading The Infernal Devices. Both series are so closely linked and if you wish to entirely understand either (or both) series, you can't read one without the other. So many clues and pieces to the puzzle that is The Mortal Instruments are found in The Infernal Devices and vice versa.
Cassandra Clare has put a great amount of thought into the whole Shadow world, to be able to produce two different series, that actually seem to feel almost like one, setting aside their renowned differences.
The characters in The Clockwork Prince are very well developed. I have come to feel as though they are a part of my family. I will never forget them, even when an end comes to the series, even when I am old and frail.
All of Cassandra's books will always hold a special place on my bookshelf and I will continue to recommend them to bookworms like myself.

I LOVED this book, I stayed up all night trying to finish it! The love triangle is so gut-wrenching, I see good things coming as I anticipate the next book in the series. Five stars, a "must have" in you're collection! by Renee taylor
Pure Perfection!
Oh my gosh, this book was PURE PERFECTION! Cassandra Clare has long since earned her place as one of my favourite authors ever (with The Mortal Instruments series and the first book for this steampunk prequel series, Clockwork Angel), but she's outdone herself with this one!
I didn't think it was possible to love Tessa even more in Clockwork Prince, but I did! She was just so strong, and intelligent, and determined, and not once did my heart differ from hers - we connected like that. Like always, Clare managed to create a cast that amazed me with their intricacy.
And Tessa, Will (who I now love even more than Jace!! ♥), and Jem (who has his own chance to shine in this book!) make up the epitome of a perfect love triangle - one where you're honestly so torn that it splits your heart in two. I wanted to cry several times!
Don't get me started on the storyline. It was complex and risky and heartbreaking and breathtaking, and it didn't resemble the middle-book-filler pattern AT ALL. It actually had a plot with so many twists and turns that it could snap a neck, and it captivated me for all near-500 pages.
Words will not do this book justice. They can't describe how beautifully vivid Clare writes, how amazing she is at world-building, and how I could want to laugh and cry so much for one book. So I'll just have to say that if you haven't picked up a Clare book yet, then you are totally missing out!
And if you have, then know that Clockwork Prince is even more amazing than everyone's high expectations. And it's even better than the first book, too! I've never read a series that makes the characters and world feel as real as Clare makes hers! :)

And I have to say one word AMAZING, I love Cassandra Clare's work and the way she writes making you feel as if you were living the story. But when I thought her writing couldn't get better, she writes Clockwork Prince. I can't believe the action, the love, the betrayal (I was totally surprised by that one) and everything that happens in this book, it's a book that once you pick it up you won't be able to put it down.
I have to say I was bawling my eyes out when I discovered why Will is the way he is and practically jumping up and down when he found... well you know (if you've read the book)
Jem was incredibly sweet and lovable, as usual, he's impossible to not like come on!! I hope they find a cure for him, it would break my heart if not.
Tessa is growing on me and although I think she's a bit selfish, she also tries to do what's right and she does love both boys (Who doesn't?? Even if your one team or the other you have to admit both of them have certain charms)
I love Charlotte and Henry even more than ever, and Sophie is so sweet, I also like Gideon Lightwood more and more.
Will being right about something and the way he reactioned to being right was so funny I nearly chocked on my cup of tea.
And finally Magnus Bane is the best, what happened with Will I was laughing my head of (not literally) and he was so nice to Will, that I love him even more.

I consider myself to be VERY lucky to get my hands on a COLLECTOR'S EDITION of Clockwork Prince! I got the read the note Will Herondale wrote in Clockwork Angel ;) Now off to my review, it was amazing. I cant find a word to describe it. At first, i liked the first book better than the second, but the ending totally made me change my mind, so i love both of them equally.
Lets get to Tessa. She annoyed me a bit in this book. Her constant change of mind of loving who, between Will and Jem, made me think of her as a spoiled person. She was playing with hearts here, which made me think of her as a very irresponsible person too. She kept changing her mind over and over, which made me wonder if she truly does love them, or of she just loves them because she couldn't find a better choice.
I loved how Sophie, the housemaid, was more involved in this book. I especially loved her love life, and im not going to spoil anything by saying who it is either. I truly love and enjoy reading about Sophie because she might have an ugly scar, but she is truly beautiful from the inside.
Will and Jem, i cant seem to choose between the two in this book either. Finally, we get to learn more about the mysterious Will Herondale, which is pretty exciting. Jem is as beautiful as ever, and in this book, he shows himself more. He doesnt let people take him for granted anymore, which pleased me alot.
In this book, i got to learn many things about the characters, especially when i found out who that mysterious traitor was. I was extremely happy with the ending, and i literally squealed when i was done with it. Cant wait for the third book, Clockwork Princess, to come out!
