Hard To Put Down
I have just finished reading this and I found it very hard to put down.
It is well written by a person who was their recording engineer for years and there are a few surprises in there that the avid Beatle fan will find interesting indeed, fascinating perhaps.
The story centres around the huge amount of work done at Abbey Road and this book puts you in the engineers seat for comprehensive descriptions of how each song was made.
The chapter on the making of Sgt Pepper is brilliant.
Sadly toward the end the relationships that turned sour & split the greatest group ever are given some explanation.
If you are a true Beatle nut, this won't dissapoint. by Trevor SCHWANZ
