God hates this book
Before you next get into an argument with a Bible follower, get this book. It comprehensively shows that those who quote the Bible favourably haven't really read it. Werleman has read it from cover to cover and, with a good dose of both acid humour and skepticism, systematically demolished the myths that surround the benevolent big guy in the sky. And to emphasise the point, he finishes each chapter with a body count. As the capricious acts are examined, the contradictions mount up and the historical fictions are exposed, God looks less and less like an omnipotent benefactor of all mankind and more like a petulant, narcissistic, biased bully. Good thing he doesn't really exist. by William Holdsworth
