  • AMAZING!!!!5

Siana Wardell The Forbidden Game by L.J. Smith is a series of 3 mini books called The Hunt, The Chase, The Kill all in one. The book is about a teenager called Jenny who buys a mysterious game to play at her boyfriends birthday party from a mysterious shop that seems to have come out of nowhere. When she and her friends start playing the game they find out that the young man who sold Jenny the game, Julian, is in fact the king of the game. Julian is in love with Jenny. If he wins the game, he gets Jenny, and if she and her friends win they get freedom. In this game they must confront their deepest fears and secrets to get out alive. This is just the first part of the story, The Hunt. The Chase and The Kill is about the aftermath of the game.
The Forbidden Game is a truly amazing book. The progression of the book is fast but you don't get lost in it. All the characters change throughout the story making them seem real. The characterization L.J. Smith uses is staggering making each character unforgettable. However my favorite character in the story would have to be Julian, the main antagonist of the story. He is both terrifying and alluring at the same time trying to win over the heart of Jenny and using any way possible to retain it. The chemistry between him and Jenny is undeniable and leaves you on the edge of your seat at each encounter.
Another great example is the way Jenny grows throughout the story. At the start she is quite weak but soon blossoms onto a strong character that has the courage and bravery of a lion. She goes through so much and uses that to make her stronger and never gives up on her friends. She never gives in even at the hardest of times.
The plot for the Forbidden game was amazing. It was so clever and there was lots of twists and turns to keep you interested. The chemistry and relationships between the characters, the settings and the overall idea for the plot kept you wanting more and more.
Overall I thought the book was fantastic and I loved it. I couldn't stop reading it and just wanted more and more of it. There were so many possibilities of what could happen and so many twists and turns it certainly keeps you on the edge of your seat. The Forbidden Game: The Hunt, The Chase, The Kill was simply amazing. I will certainly be reading this book again! by Siana Wardell

Petya Birant Simply the best book EVER!L.J Smith just makes the characters believable and it feels like you're right there in the scene when you're reading. It's not really romance, but it has suspension.I read it in three days, even thought it was 700 pages.
