Not as useful as it sounds
This book is basically a compilation of common sense food rules. Although the author says he is up to date with modern science on nutrition (whilst at the same time claiming that nutritionists don't seem to really know what they're talking about as it's such a young science) many of these rules are based on old wisdom. What this doesn't take into account is our grandparents and previous generations also ate so differently to us because they had less options!
Overall they are mostly good useful rules but if you're interested in nutrition and have looked into different diets you will know a lot of this already. However if you haven't and want to know how to feed your children well or look after your general health then this a good book for you. by N McGuigan
