Reviews for Dynamic Figure Drawing
less anatomically correct than i would have liked
this is an excellent reference for those who wish to take up figure drawing.
I personally found most of the illustrations however lapsed into the old Greek style of figure portrayal. where, for example, the lower abs hold more fat than is normal. also the number of figures is limited to a single male form and touches very briefly on the female form.
despite its limitations, this is an excellent book, and well worth a read. i found it to be a valuable source of shading reference as well. by david craven
