Leanne Lingwood My summary of the book - Pace has a bad shoulder which he tries to work through so when a reporter starts hanging around and asking questions it is the last thing he wants. Holly is there to do a feature on the team and the sport but she finds herself drawn to Pace and tries to crack his thick exterior to find out more about him. Soon they are drawn together and the team's superstitions bring them a lot closer. Rumours and scandal affect everything where Pace and Holly have to fight for what they believe in.

Thoughts on the characters - Holly is a tough woman who is always looking for secrets and finding out the truth which makes her have trust issues. When she meets Pace he certainly is her match as he also has trust issues and doesn't give anything away. Both of them can't deny their attraction to each other and after sharing a kiss before a game the team becomes superstitious and throws them together again and again. Holly manages to find another side to Pace who comes across tough but he does have a soft side and that is what she falls for and Pace also helps Holly with her own trust issues and make realise there is other things out there instead of writing about secrets.

Overall thoughts - This is the first book I have read of Jill Shalvis and really enjoyed it. The interaction between the pair is amusing especially when they are thrown together before each game where the action gets hotter and hotter. I will definitely be getting more books from this author and can't wait to read the one in the series. by Leanne Lingwood
