An emotional look at family life
The Descendants looks at how a family can appear to others on the outside whereas on the inside they have become isolated from each other. It doesn't matter how rich or socially outgoing you are sometimes you lose sight of what really matters and in The Descendants Hemmings delves into family dynamics and draws you back to what should really matter. The book seems to be overshadowed by the huge success of the film, but definately worth reading. Read my full review at http://www.ourbookclub.net.au/LiteratureAndFiction2012.php by Tracy Hudson
