Reviews for The Demon Trappers: Foretold
Foretold Review
Foretold is the fourth and final book in The Demon Trappers series and I'm sad that this is the end of a brilliant series.
After the way the third book ended, waiting for this book to come out felt like forever and when it finally arrived, I started it straight away. I seriously couldn't put this book down so I finished this book really quick. This book was definitely the best out of the series - so many exciting things happening! The love in this book is so sweet! It was so easy to get emotional about! I recommend anyone this book and the series!
I really enjoyed following the life of Riley Blackthorne, a female hero who has brought tears, enjoy, and laughter to everyone's face who have read this series. If this series could go on forever and I could follow the rest of Riley's life I would! Highly recommended! by Melissa MarshallSeriously good!
An amazing ending to an amazing series!
Unsurprisingly Jana Oliver has yet again created a realistic world through description that easily creates an image in the reader's mind. I very much enjoyed reading this book and I am sad to see the end of this series, but Oliver has not failed to disappoint!
This story includes action, magic, power, love, hate and respect. I particularly admire how the main character Riley has developed throughout the books. She has always seemed to be someone who is selfless, but throughout the series, and certainly in this book, she has stood up to people when needed, helping others when no one else can/will. Oliver has created a strong character which people can relate to in their own way.
The overall plot of the story is impressive, with many detailed facts of the demons including the different grades, descriptions and personalities. The life of a Demon Trapper is described to us in such detail that is makes the idea of the book feel more real, so Oliver has been effective in creating a world that sounds impossible, yet feels real.
Overall I have enjoyed following this series and the life of Riley Blackthorne - through the tears, laughter, support and respect, Oliver has not failed to bring everything to this story.
I look forward to reading more books by Jana Oliver! by MariaShame to say good bye....
Oh my wow! You'd have thought, after reading so many awesome books I'd actually be able to form words better now... But nope, you're still stuck with 'wow'... Foretold was honestly, amazing. It was such a brilliant end to The Demon Trapper Series... I bloody loved it! I'm very well known for adoring endings to series, unless they leave it on a cliffhanger. Oliver cleared up pretty much everything in this final novel - leaving only a few things for the reader to question.
I didn't want this series to come to an end because Riley is really a character with characteristics that I'd love to have. She's brave, selfless, funny, clever and strong... She's brilliant. Honestly, it's the fact that she's so selfless that really made the end of this novel for me... Because we see her being selfish... She refuses to let someone VERY close to her die...
The relationship I'd been waiting for finally comes around, and I'm a huge fan of where it went.... and where it's going. I hope Riley does get her happy happy ending on her 18th birthday in Scotland.
Oliver fits together two stories within this novel, Beck and Riley's trip... and then the end of the world part two... Now, I really enjoyed BOTH stories, and I have no criticisms... Which is annoying, because I almost always find something (no matter how minor) critical to say (like I don't like the font or the size of the book *wink*) but I can't find anything with this novel.
Oliver ended her series well, it truely was an awesome supernatural take. I'd never read anything like The Demon Trapper Series - the demons and things was all new! So maybe you should also give it a go!
