As the fight for women's suffrage heats up, Kathleen "Cat" Bowen gets to participate as her mother and her sister, and many others close to her organize and act to win the right to vote. It is January 19, 1917 and the picket line has been going on for over a week! People said that it would not last a day. News of the picket has spread and more and more women are coming from other parts of the district, some from as far away as Maryland and Virginia. The womens suffragette movement has taken hold and Cat Bowen is right in the thick of it.
