Short Description for The ConfessionAn innocent man is days from execution. Only a guilty man can save him. Travis Boyette is a murderer. In 1998, in the small East Texas city of Sloan, he abducted, raped, and strangled a popular high-school cheerleader. He buried her body so that it would never be found, then watched and waited as police and prosecutors arrested Donte Drumm.

Darryl Greer This is a classic Grisham novel and up to the end of Book II I thought it was probably his best since "The Firm." It's a white knuckle ride all the way. However the pace slows considerably for Book III where, I suspect, the author is trying to get his personal viewpoint across on capital punishment. He is after all on the board of the Innocence Project. Great read though and I thoroughly recommend it.
