  Behemoth is the exciting follow up to Westerfeld's awesome steam-punk adventure, Leviathan. It continues the tale of Alek, secret heir to the Austria-Hungarian throne, and Deryn, secret girl, on board Leviathan.
  
  The British Airship is making its way to Istanbul in Turkey where they hope to be able to convince the Sultan of the Ottaman Empire to not join forces with Germany. Needless to say, things don't go as smoothly as planned, leading to great fights, espionage and battle scenes.
  
  As in Leviathan, the machines and creatures in these books stretch the imagination to the extreme and the great descriptions are enhanced with the fantastic graphics throughout the book. I really like the characters in these books and we get to know and understand them a lot more in this one. Scott Westerfeld's writing is amazing as always with just the exact right amount of detail without going overboard. The action scenes flow at the right pace, making them seem frantic but not overwhelming.
  
  Highly recommended to fans of steam-punk, action-adventure and Scott Westerfeld in general. I'm so glad there is going to be a third book of this series. by Tasha
