  "A valuable insight into the trauma and brutality endured by the Jewish population at the hands of Hitler and the Nazis during the second world war.
  Rees details at length the German mentality at this time and attempts to convey the hardship, misery and horrific living conditions endured by all those prisoners (Jews, Soviet Union POW's, Political Prisoners & Gypsies) sent to concentration camps such as Auschwitz.
