Reviews for Athenaze: Workbook 1
EXCELLENT AND COMPLETE
"There is an cutual tendency among classical studies textbooks, (either in Ancient Greek or in Latin) to cram everything in a few pages. To slam the students brains with declensions, conjugations, perpositions, exceptions and before you know it, you end up being so disgusted with classical studies that you feel like throwing your Latin or Greek textbooks against the wall and studying something else instead.
Ok, true, Greek has a lot of grammar and yes, there are some dclensions (like in Latin) to learn . BUT, I must say that for a change, This course goes from a text to the grammar . which means, that, Instead of learning like a robot .. you read, discover , understand and thus.. you know
No coloured pictures, true, but at the end of the day, I rather deal with a book which is well done, easy to use and teach me clearly what I want to learn than with some nice glossy pictures framming a pathetically poorly written textbook.
If you re serious about learning Ancient Greek .. then, go for that course.. you deserve it." by a Book Depository customer
