    Only for the skilled sewer3

Belinda Black I just love the designs in this book, afterall the designs use Amy Butler fabric which is just gorgeous which what lures a lot of people into this book.
The photography of the designs is beautiful, but not detailed enough (eg, no rear/back shots) of any items.
However, the instructions are just terrible, with minimal diagrams if any for the patterns. Also instructions have not been tested for the various sizes and are just plain out wrong for the smaller sizes! Also, the sizing seems to be inconsistent and on some patterns (ie. easy empire waist top), the 'top' for a 0-3 months would be a knee length dress to fit a 6-9 month old, such is the odd sizing of this book.
Also as a side note if you live, or prefer to live, in the 'metric' world, be prepared, this book uses only empirical measurements (ie. inches and yards) and there is no conversion table in the book.
Lastly, the material requirements seem to be overstated for patterns as well. If you do decide to make an item from the book, cut & lay out the pattern pieces to determine what amount of fabric you actually need before you buy. by Belinda Black
